EVENT SUGGESTIONS
<< Event Suggestions >>

Just comment with the idea! Anonymous posting is fine~

And you don't just have to post full ideas. Saying something like "I'd want an event where my character can temporarily [be evil/lose their memories/turn into a cactus/etc]", or if you'd like more events, or less cracky ones sometimes, is okay too! I wanna know what sort of events are preferred.

OKAYZ. Credit for this is also given to Lin for writing fabulous fics. ^^

Basically. Everyone can be walking down a street or whatever, and they'll look down, or see their reflection and they'll be in tights or in a dress or wearing a hat with a huge red feather sticking out of it. And what do you know, they suddenly have a fairytale counterpart! Kuro-tan could wake up with huge flowing black locks, in his hotel room which seems to be the highest room in the tallest tower of a castle!hotel, etc, etc. I don't know entirely, I'm just throwing things out there.

In the couple of days that these characters portray these fairytale characters, they have to live their normal lives but at the same time play out the storyline to their given fairytale. It doesn't really matter if people have the same counterparts, because even if you did give characters the same counterparts, they'd come to the same conclusion of the fairytale in different and unique ways!

So. Yes. ;;;

The Piffle candy company and Piffle puffs
(Anonymous)
2008-04-14 02:11 am UTC (link)
[This event suggestion was brought to you by my crazy thoughts about the Piffle co. in all Clamp works and what roll it would play in Kiseki.]

In many of Clamp's works, there has been a company by the name of Piffle (sometimes Piffle Princess). The things they manufacture, sell, and distribute are different every time (as far as I know, please correct me if I'm wrong).

So, what does the Piffle company distribute in Kiseki-koku? Candy.

Piffle is the new candy company that has been established in Kiseki. It makes anything from hard-candies to chocolates. However, these candies are not normal. They cause strange things to happen to all who eat them. Each type of candy produces a different effect. These effects have been carefully tested (on mice), so no accidents or poisoning should occur. Effects vary from candy to candy. All products are packaged and labeled with the effects they cause (when they are sold in stores...>D).

One of their products, Piffle puffs, are chewy, marshmallow candies that come in a variety of different colors and shapes. These puffs all cause the some effect, but the colors tell the severity of the effect (the different shapes are there just to make them look cool). After eating one of these candies, the person will fall in "love" with the first person they see (they can talk on the journal without any effects however). The colors will tell what type of "love" they will feel:

List of events mostly inspired by the Nightmare Fuel article on TV Tropes
(Anonymous)
2008-05-10 12:08 am UTC (link)
It's 11:00 at night on where I am, and I just read a bunch of nightmare-fuel examples on TV tropes. One of the things that caught my eye in the articles was called Trauma Transformations, which is what mostly inspired these event ideas:

1) Some sort of events where half the characters of Kiseki become horrible monsters, and proceed to go on a horrible reign of terror throughout the streets/hotel/zoo/onsen/ect. I was actually thinking of two types of events for this sinerio:
a) The character becomes a terrible vampire/werewolf/snake/insect/whatever monster, but still have their own minds and conciouses (does that make sense?). They would basically still be themselves on the inside, but have the body of a monster. Because there is nothing worse than waking up as a giant insect (or next to one). Also, if the person-turned-monster cannot talk, then they cannot really explain what happened and their roomate would flip (or kill them...).
b) The character will become a monster completely, body and mind. They might go on a bloody rampage (to kill or be killed, or eat most of the animals from the zoo), or they could be tamed monsters. There was a few movies I saw when I was a kid about monsters that would seem scary at first, but then would be friendly or act like a pet (imagine a werewolf-puppy Toshihiko [eating/battleing Lucy]). The aftermath would be epic (because clearly the denizens of Kiseki are not tramatized enough. >>;;)

I was going to say that the event won't affect magical beings, but the images of monster Mokona and Yue are amusing me. Mod decision on that one.
I think it would be better if candy was not the cause of this, because I honestly do not think the characters will go for those after the recent events. It might also make an awesome Halloween event (or two separate events, I think it could waste potential epicness to have a & b happen in the same event. Two nightmare indulging events for the price of one!)

2. Candy/Hotel Chocolate event! I have been thinking about pillow chocolates (or chocolates being distributed by the Hotel in some way, because the smiley girls will send people running for the hills; the Hotel will seem less suspicious [Also PifflePrincess Co./Hotel = OTP]) for a while now, but I had no idea what they would do. But nightmare fuel has given me an idea: “Evil” Candy! Because absolutely nothing is scarier than finding out that your friend is evil/has become evil. There would be different kinds of evil, based upon what color foil the chocolate is wrapped with: (If you could reword any of this to make it sound better/make sense, please be my guest!)

Red: Crazy Homicidal/Ax-crazy evil: I was thinking basically axe-crazy murderer when I came up with this one, but I realized that those are not necessarily evil. So this is the “purple candy” of the batch because it really does not fit into the “evil” category. We can’t have everyone going crazy, so this candy is rare. The chocolate will make them turn into slash-happy maniacs. They get a perverse pleasure from killing, and you know it by their insane laughter.

"Night of the Killer Kiseki Dolls!," a B-movie event!
(Anonymous)
2008-05-27 04:17 am UTC (link)
It's just your average day in Kiseki. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and everything appears to be just fine.

Eventually, after a long day at work/school, all the residents of Kiseki will return to the hotel to rest up for the next day. They may, however, notice something different as they enter the hotel lobby.

There are now various kinds of dolls (stuffed, plastic, ect.) scattered across the lobby on any available surface (on the shelves, coffee tables, and couches; even on the receptionist desk.) The dolls all have one thing in common though: they all resemble the creepy-smiley girls that work in the welcome center. (They all have something else in common, too, but we'll get to that later...)

The dolls can also be found all over the cafeteria, broom closets, in and other random rooms in the hotel (some can even be found in the kitchen and basement.) There is at least one doll in all the rentable hotel rooms, occupied or unoccupied.

People may be creeped out by the sheer number of dolls all over the place, but the dolls themselves are harmless (in the daytime, at least), and do not give off any kind evil aura (in the daytime, at least) whatsoever. People may comment on the dolls in their journals, but they will never be able to predict the chaos that is about to ensue (the animals may or may not be freaking out over the dolls [even Lucy may be trying to shred one, since Fuji's and Toshi's souls belong to her alone. >/])

As soon as the sun sets completely, however, all hell will break lose. All the hotel staff will mysteriously disappear. All the lights in the hotel will suddenly burn out (flashlights may conveniently be found in a drawer.) Then...all the dolls will come alive and attack the person/persocom/animal/magical creature closest to them! They may have razor sharp claws or teeth, and may be carrying a butcher's knife (sizes may vary). They can run fast, climb walls, and turn their heads a complete 360 degrees. The dolls may hum childish rhymes or giggle madly as they try to slash your throat out.

But that's not all! All the doors inside the hotel will be magically unlocked at sunset, and then can only be manually locked once inside. All the doors and windows that lead outside will be magically locked, and will not open NO MATTER WHAT your character does to try and get them open.

Oh, and all magic using humans will mysteriously lose their powers at sunset as well. Just because Kiseki is that much of an evil bitch. I was originally going to say all magical creatures, but I just can't do that to Yue or the Mokonas. This may be optional depending on how dangerous you want the event to be.

At dawn, all the dolls will go back to being normal dolls, and all the lights will come back on (and your characters can run screaming bloody murder from the hotel.) When they decide to return to the hotel, all the dolls will be gone (by sunset that day, at least), and your characters can go back to their normal boring lives.

The event is not mandatory. No one will be able to enter the hotel after sunset and the doors lock, so if you don't want your character to play it, you can always say they were held up late at work or something, and not be able to get in. The dolls will not be found anywhere else except inside the hotel (and can not leave either.) If your character does not live in the hotel, but you want to play the event, just make sure they're at the hotel by sundown (for whatever reason you can think of).

Maybe for a candy event, the Kiseki girls can give away free butterscotch candies that make you lose all your inhibitions (like alcohol, but without the hangover!). People will be more inclined to give in to their desires, proclaim the truth about themselves to the world, and maybe even walk around in only their underwear.

There have been a lot of new arrivals in Kiseki recently, so those people wouldn't know about the first candy event! They will be completely unsuspecting!

Oh, and maybe the candy should only take effect after a few minutes (5-10) so that people won't be discouraged from eating it.

A Crossdressing event!~

Girls wear pants, and boys wear dresses! And the undecided get to wear the opposite of what they usually wear (like Kohaku in a dress! lD)

I justify this by saying we had an Infinity!clothes event before! But it's mostly for the lulz~

[A-and because the mod seems to be in some sort of pro-crossdessing mood for the moment, and I'm taking advantage! I will completely understand if she decides to kill me with fire after she comes back to her senses, though lD;;]

Rings Event!
[info]freya_chobit
2008-06-22 09:12 pm UTC (link)
Every guy in Kiseki is given a ring to give to a girl. The rings will not work on guys, so if, for example, Fai tries putting on the ring 'cause it's pretty, nothing will happen. It'll just be a pretty ring.

If a girl puts on the ring, she automatically becomes attached to the guy that gave it to her. I don't mean attached as in emotionally, either. I mean that even if she doesn't want to, she will be unable to completely not touch the guy. Whether it be holding hands, linking arms, hugging, etc, she will be unable to stop touching him. Even if she wants to.

For example, suppose Kurogane gives the ring to Tomoyo (I'm picking random names here). She puts on the ring, and then loops arms with him. He pushes her off, but as strong as he is, and as much as she herself might want to get away, she must be touching him.

Also, the ring can only be taken off after 15-30 minutes. (Some rings are weaker than others.) (Also, there can be defective ones that run for an hour and a half by accident or even just five minutes.)

A few suggestions...

1. Body-swapping event. It's cliched, but it'd still be fun to see.

2. Time-warp event. Not de-aging, but the characters would go back to an earlier point in their canon. EX: Watanuki would be turned back to the first volume, where he'd be louder than he is now. Or Kurogane would be pre-series, all hell-bent on being the strongest and grouchier. This would probably have to be an unmandatory event, though, cause it'd be fun to see normal character's reactions, and some of the characters are pre-series or don't have enough of a canon for it to work well.

3. Musical event. People burst into song and dance when they feel strong emotions.

Pinky string event? Isn't there a Japanese tradition that two soulmates are connected by a red pink string?

Maybe for an event if someone eats a certain food item (candy seems to be a popular reason to start events) this pinky string becomes visible for a short while?

I propose an event in which everyone in Kiseki wants to molest Fai and heal him with their sexual organs >|

In seriousness, ummm, event where characters think they're AU versions of themselves? Ie, Kurogane thinks he's some kind of king from another word (but is still Kurogane) or Fai is some kind of cyberpunk space pirate who tops Kurogane or Fuu is some kind of fairy princess or... Iunno. Basically, they would be themselves, only themselves from different worlds and backgrounds, kind of like how Tsubasa works with Yuzuriha being an oni hunter.

And characters who cross over in Tsubasa could have the option of making them think they're the Tsubasa!reincarnations. Ie, Kendappa thinking she was Empress of Japan.

Hmmmm, I don't know if it's been suggested befor... but how about a Flashback event?

either where characters will relive their most traumatic experience, without being able to change it.

OR where characters will relive past experiences that made them the most happy, that they treasure the most.

You can make other characters able to watch these flashbacks unfold infront of them.

it might be a great apportonaty to set up some great canon flashback scenes, where players can explore and narrate exactly what they thought their characters where feeling in thoese scenes.

Straight to the point:

Characters will catch a strange sickness that forces them to stay in bed for the whole week. Symptoms might be slightly different for different people but basically: Dizziness, constant pain all over the body, lack of appetite, throwing up, confused state, feeling cold and just generally sick. Some are less sick, just feeling awful enough not to want to get out of bed. In worse cases the sick person would be barely conscious, not even able to write in their journal to ask for help.

Of course, this would be a non-mandatory event so that the healthy characters can take care of the sick ones. (Maybe if someone doesn't have anyone to take care of them for one reason or another, the Kisekians at the hospital can find them and take care of them, though, if you like it that way.)

The sickness can last less time if the mun wants it so, but not longer than a week. It can get better and worse during the time too, depending on the treatment the character gets and their mental state. Also, the character's favourite food worsens the symptoms whereas their least favourite food eases them. Meaning that by eating what you hate the most (while you don't feel like eating anything at all thanks to the sickness) you'll feel better.

After the sickness the character will be more tired than usual for the time that they were sick. Meaning that if you were sick for a week, your convalescence period will be a week after that.

This ended up being really detailed but I don't mind changes or additions. All these are just suggestions after all.

Seven Deadly Sins/Seven Virtues event! :D

Characters who are usually virtuous would be affected by one of the sins (Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Pride) and characters who are kind of sinful would in turn be affected by one of the virtues (Prudence, Justice, Temperance, Courage/Fortitude, Faith, Hope, Love/Charity). Kind of like an OOC event, but more specific?

This is kind of random! But. I figured it wouldn't hurt to submit the idea.

An event where every character's most frequent or influential dreams/memories are sort of projected all around the island. The catch is that anyone who happens to see it can actually interact to some extent with the dream, except for the person whose memory it actually is. Like, you can't change the events in it, but you can talk to the people there, as if you were actually there. So if Kohane's is one of the nice memories of her mother, someone who saw her dream could talk to the mother or baby Kohane, but Kohane herself could only watch it happen. Or if Chitose is dreaming of her family, someone could talk to the girls and play with them. (Obviously, the dream!people wouldn't be confused about being randomly approached, since they're not actually there.) And if anything is said or done that would somehow change the memory, or if they're asked questions, then the dream immediately fades? It wouldn't happen to everyone at once but it could be interesting. :D;;;

... If not, THEN SECONDING THE DE-AGE EVENT ;A; Pleaseeee?

Or with the first person they see.

Or maybe like, mistletoe that follows people around once they walk under it until they do one of those things. Like creepy stalker mistletoe. Because it'd drive some of the characters insane and keep getting bigger and bigger, like covering the whole room, until they did what it wanted.

Basically I want an event where littleKuro and littleSakura have to hold hands >|
