Point in canon they're being taken from: The end of volume 1, just as Chun Hyang is running away from Mong Ryong across the bridge. *has it timed to the second, what's wrong with that?*

Brief background: Chun Hyang is the daughter of a mundang in a village seemingly set in ancient Korea (or a world similar to it). She lived happily with her mother but the village's Yangban was horribly corrupt and abused his power of the villagers. Chun Hyang fought to defend the people but she couldn't attack the Yangban directly. One day a traveller named Mong Ryong visited her town and ended up staying at her mother's house. After a few days, the Yangban went to visit the mundang while Chun Hyang and Mong Ryong were out. He forced her to come back to his castle where he tried to force himself on her. She killed herself before that could happen, and it was only afterwards that Chun Hyang and Mong Ryong arrived to save her. Mong Ryong revealed himself to be one of the Amenosa and gives Chun Hyang permission to kill the Yangban. She does so and Mong Ryong asks her to travel with him around the country. She accepts.
Personality: Chun Hyang is generally a good-natured, as well as headstrong, girl who tries to look out for everyone's best interests. She enjoys fighting and likes defending people. She can have a short temper, particularly around Mong Ryong, but is very kind hearted. She's also very proud and brave- she won't give up on anything.

Where is this place? Where is everyone? Hey, you! Those women said people would be able to hear me through this thing, where are you? You can't just run off the second I turn my back! ... This place... It's nothing like home... How did I get here?

Hey, if that guy really has run off, does anyone else here know where I am? My name is Chun Hyang! How do I get home?
